The Norhayati’s flying frog is mainly found in the forests of Peninsular Malaysia, but like many other flying frogs, it is usually quite difficult to spot in the wild as it spends much of its time hidden from view in the forest canopy. However, during rainy periods, temporary pools are formed on the forest floor, which draws these frogs lower to the ground where they congregate in vegetation a few meters above newly formed water sources. Because of their elusive nature, the important role that frogs play within ecosystems can be easy to overlook, but these amphibians are crucial to keeping our world healthy. Frogs around the globe are hard at work transferring energy from invertebrates to predators higher up the food chain, while also helping to control pest populations, protecting us from the spread of potentially deadly diseases. #frog #flyingfrog #spots #colorful #bright #amphibian #PhotoArk #savetogetherDownload image
