I love my aunt, Bhabi, and her ancient Breville toaster which reluctantly huffs and puffs out these spicy golden masala potato filled toasties when I visit. The recipe for which is in today’s no waste @guardianfeast issue (and in the link in my bio.) They’re good, quick and they remind me of what joy tastes like: simple food, lovingly made.Download image

Masala potato in a toasted sandwich 🤔 I don’t think this idea has reached Indians in Malaysia yet! I’ll be trying it here though!
Best toasted sandwiches ever !!!
Oh my! Theses were a regular growing up. Brought back nostalgic memories
They look perfect for this weather. I have an even more old fashioned one that you put in the fire. I might resurrect it for this. 🧡
Those babies look insane! Like potato-based samosas!! I can’t wait to try them!!! 💕🌱💘
My mom made this delicious chutney on the side that I used to mix with ketchup and eat. Good ol memories:)
This in the breville toastie maker is my childhood!
My mom makes something similar with leftover cauliflower/potato sabzi and green chutney. It’s super simple but brings me back to being a little kid, I love it!
Breville Pav Bhaji...yes!
Now this looks delicious! 😍 Glad to see your toastie maker is still going strong 💪
