So what are you supposed to do when you reach out and your NHS CBT therapist tells you that to access proper medial mental health care you have to have attempted suicide at least more than once?! What if you succeed in your first attempt? She couldn't answer that question for me.
I volunteer for a crisis text line that I'm hoping to spread awareness about. I honestly want to have people tell me their problems and help them in anyway possible. Nothing is too big or too small, if it's something that is hurting you emotionally or physically you deserve to be heard. Plus I can vouch that the text line in anonymous. I have no idea who I'm talking to unless you tell me. I feel like that helps a lot of people open up! This service is Free to everyone, if someone you know or support need this service, they can access it by texting Hello to 741741.
To people who have suicide thought I want to tell you that life can sometimes be horrible but think about the future. In the future WONDERFUL stuff come. You are beautiful just the way you are. If anyone calls you ugly or fat or too skinny you know what you should be happy with your self. If they call you ugly there no way they can prove that your ugly. Better things ahead in the future comes better things and don’t be scared to seek help near your area there some therapists that can help you. I know sometimes it can be tough because I went through suicide thoughts but don’t be scared to seek help because their there to help you.
How do we get help for our mental health. There is more mental health awareness but I dint know where to go for help. My doctors don’t help so what should I do 😔

January 2018 I began to feel suicidal. I had no one to talk to including my wife who at that point was waiting for it to pass so she could leave me. Thankfully I found the inner strength to call the GP and make an appointment telling the receptionist why I needed to see the doctor as soon as possible. I was helped and no longer feel suicidal. I see a lot of people posting very positive things about mental health issues and I hope that they continue to do so. I for one am always happy to talk to anyone going through a crisis. I may not always be able to help but I think even just having someone else’s ear to bend can be a big deal.
